HYDROGEN GAS STORAGE

Steelhead Composites offers lightweight composite-overwrapped pressure vessels for high pressure hydrogen storage.  Steelhead Composites’ Type 3 cylinders are made of robust, seamless aluminum liner completely overwrapped with durable epoxy-impregnated carbon fiber composite. These cylinders feature large port openings with hydrogen-ready, stainless steel threaded connections that can house an in-tank valve and regulator.  These vessels are capable of storing hydrogen at pressures up to 70 MPa (700 bar), and have been designed from the ground up to meet performance based regulatory standards like R134a that ensure reliable vessel performance over the long haul.   Standard sizes are available from 60 to 130 Liters with an OD of 460 mm, however Steelhead Composites would be pleased to work towards custom sizes.
